Crossing the Sea, Conclusion     Takanori was now eating some of the meager food they had found in the shadow village, deeply pondering the demon’s words against his newly acquired knowledge. “How long had the demon been in the master’s place?” he thought aloud. “I must have seen some indications along the way, and ignored them all. And what does it have to do with the sword the human was looking for. Perhaps−“ he stopped short. Something moved into his field of vision. Slowly, he stood and gazed out to the horizon. Stormy Sea, Part Three     Takanori had awoken from his trance. He had a few bites of dried meat from his pack. Pulling out the rations, he began to survey the dunes. He could clearly see where Mersharr had run off to. When the two had arrived in this shadow-world, they had found themselves in a strange place, which seemed very similar to their own island with some very major differences.  
     The first thing Takanori saw when the shuriken had been activated was the master. However, was transformed into a monstrous version of himself that had stuck the half-elf with other-worldly might. When he had leaped to Stormy Sea, Part Three

Crossing the Sea: Part II     Mersharr had been wandering about for an hour or so. His meditation had been quite relaxing, but he was restless now. At first he had sprinted about, scanning the endless dunes for anything that was irregular. When he had left Takanori, the half-elf was deep in his meditative state. He would likely stay that way for at least a couple hours. After running at full speed as long as he could, he took a short rest. Since then, he had taken to sprinting to the top of each dune, and if he found nothing, he would walk down to the bottom before resuming the sprint up the next. TC and Takanori Cross the Sea                “I give up!” Mersharr lay on the sand. Nothing but waves of dull grey sand lay around him for miles beyond his sight. “I must ask again Takanori, what did you do to anger the sensei?”   “And again I must tell you,” spoke his friend as he finally caught up to him, “I haven’t the slightest inkling. Perhaps if you stop running ahead of me just to wait for me to catch you again, then our moods might be lightened by conversation.”   Mersharr shot his comrade a raised eyebrow before leaping TC and Takanori Cross the Sea
